“CID 2’s Sizzling Reunion: The Chemistry of Dr. Tarika & Inspector Abhijeet is Fire”
The iconic crime series CID is still going strong in CID 2 that fans can’t get enough of Dr. Tarika and Inspector Abhijeet’s emotional reunion. Shraddha Musale, who plays Dr. Tarika and returned to the CID franchise in December 2024 after pursuing business ventures in Dubai, talked about her on-screen chemistry with Aditya Srivastava’s Abhijeet, and it’s clear that on-screen chemistry is still as strong.
It was “natural, just right” for Shraddha, who also said, the emotions were deeper than nostalgia. Not only do fans get that emotion from the actress, but it is clear they have strong chemistry that exists in real life, and it is memorable.
When asked why she believed that her scenes with Abhijeet were special for both crew and cast, Shraddha said, “Even we enjoy the chemistry… Fans will definitely see more of Inspector Abhijeet and Dr Tarika; that chemistry is something even we enjoy” in reference to her fondness on and off screen.
A recent promotional video hints at an emotional exchange: Abhijeet welcomes Tarika back and ponders her sadness. Tarika claims Abhijeet is not being empathetic, and Abhijeet quickly responds that her departure made him empathetic .

One online post states, “Bhai Inki Shaadi Karwa Do, Kisi Love Story Ko Toh Happy Ending Dedo”, and another states, “Kaash ye misunderstanding theek ho jaye!” both similar urges from viewers hoping to see a resolution. The hashtag #AbhiRika is trending, clearly terrified that the pair’s chemistry will leave no audience member unscathed.
Shraddha’s return is more than just a cameo and this new storyline truly forces the forgiveness aspect. With her impressive forensic skills and new relationship dynamic with Abhijeet, tension and drama is about to rise at an unexpected level, as she says, it feels like “perfect timing” . And judging from audience reaction, it truly is essentially – the emotional heartbeat of CID 2.
If Season 1 was a nostalgia-fest, Season 2 is packing emotional sentimentality. Tarika’s return is weaving in nostalgia, unresolved tension, and emotional pull, all while fulfilling the inescapable bond between detective and doctor.
